We’re excited to introduce a new segment to our ongoing entries. It will be highlighting women influencing/surrounding the Auto industry, their perspectives, and helpful tips.

My name is Kaylee and some of you may know me, maybe you’ve even bought a car from me. I’ve spent nearly 4 years in the car business and not every day is easy, but every day I try to have some fun. In a male dominated industry, I’ve been fortunate enough to work for a diverse dealership where nearly 40% of our staff are female. I love working at a job where we are regularly breaking the “norm”. I pride myself on providing an excellent customer experience, knowledge, expertise, and a tailored experience for each customer, every time.

Now I could focus on the negative stereotypes or the “old school” mentality about women in my position but instead I’m here to point out the many positives!

Women are breaking into Service roles, Sales roles, Finance roles, and every department is seeing a rise in the number of females in this industry. I’m proud of what I do and who I work for. Our standards are high, and our entire staff reflects that.

We want the women who come to our dealership to feel comfortable and confident during their car buying, and then servicing, experience. Mazda as a brand has really targeted women as buyers. They recognize that nearly 80% of purchases are directly influenced by a woman in some way. Whether she is the buyer or the co-buyer, women have a big say in a big decision. Mazda recognizes this fact and it is clearly reflected most recently by the 2019 Mazda 3 winning Women’s World Car of the Year

Safe, fun to drive, and beautiful vehicles, Mazda has elevated their product to a level that anyone would be proud to own one. But don’t take my word for it, come check one out for yourself and have some fun!

Next entry we’ll tackle what age of vehicle you’re considering. Are you thinking of new or used? Thanks for reading and we hope it was helpful.
